The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships are a fully-funded scholarship program that is open to international students from over 180 countries. The scholarships are awarded to outstanding students who are interested in pursuing doctoral or postdoctoral studies or research in Switzerland.

Who can apply for Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Students?

The scholarships are open to students who have a master’s degree or equivalent in any field. Applicants must also have an excellent academic record and a research proposal that is relevant to their field of study.

Number of Scholarships Offered: Generally, around 200 scholarships are awarded every year.

List of Universities Offering the Scholarship: The scholarships are offered by all of the Swiss public universities, including the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology (ETH Zurich and EPFL).
