Last date for Application: 11^th October 2023 (for US citizens in the USA) and 5^th December 2023 or 4^th January 2024 (depending on the course)

Courses covered: PhD, MSc, MLitt, one-year postgraduate courses (full-time), except for excluded courses (listed below).

Courses NOT eligible for Scholarships:

• BA or BA affiliated
• Master of Business (MBA)
• Business Doctorate (BusD)
• Master of Finance (MFin)
• PGCE
• Non-degree courses
• MASt courses
• MBBChir Clinical Studies
• Graduate Course in Medicine (A101)
• MD Doctor of Medicine degree (6 years, part-time)
• Part-time degrees

The Gates Cambridge Scholarships are considered among the most prestigious global scholarships. The scholarships are offered to excellent students from countries other than the UK willing to pursue full-time postgraduate program at the University of Cambridge. The scholarship covers the entire cost of education at Cambridge, encompassing tuition fees, maintenance allowances, airfare, and additional funds for academic development, family support, fieldwork, and more.

Who can apply for Gates Cambridge Scholarships for International Students?

The Gates Cambridge Scholarships are open to citizens of any country outside the United Kingdom.

Number of Scholarships Offered: Approximately 80 scholarships are awarded every year.

List of Universities Offering the Scholarship: The scholarship is offered by the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.

Eligibility for Gates Cambridge Scholarships for International Students

To be eligible to apply for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

• Must be citizens of countries outside the United Kingdom.
• Students must be pursuing full-time residential courses such as Ph.D. (full-time or part-time*), MSc, MLitt (full-time), or a one-year full-time postgraduate course, with a few exceptions (specified below).
• For those applying for admission in October 2024, the Gates Cambridge Scholarship is testing out a new program that enables candidates to apply for financial support for a doctorate pursued on a part-time basis.

How to apply for Gates Cambridge Scholarships for International Students?

To apply for the Gates Cambridge Scholarships, students must follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Submit your application for admission and funding, including Gates Cambridge and other funding, through the University’s Graduate Application Portal.

Step 2: To be considered for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship, complete the relevant sections for course admission, College placement, and the Gates Cambridge funding section.

Step 3: Upload and submit the required documents to support your application before the deadline.

Step 4: Application deadlines are 11 October 2023 (for US citizens in the USA) and either 5 December 2023 or 4 January 2024 (depending on the course) for all other eligible applicants

Step 5: If selected for the scholarship award, you will be notified through mail.
